Deputy Sheriff Bryan Gross, age 29, died on July 28, 2011, in the North Platte River, Wyoming, while attempting to assist a teen-aged girl who was struggling in the river.
Bryan was a member of the Converse County Sheriff's Office, Wyoming.
The girl is 14 years old and was upset with her boyfriend and jumped in the river. The girl survived, but Bryan was swept away in the river swollen by heavy snow melt.
His body was discovered after a 4 day search on July 31, 2011.
Bryan graduated from Gladwin High School in 2000. He joined the Converse County Sheriff's Department four months ago as a deputy.

Bryan worked as a Douglas police officer for a few years before joining the sheriff's department recently. He had worked at the police department as a drug officer, handling a trained dog.
Bryan was just married within the past month or so. God help his poor wife who has lost her husband in a month.
Bryan Gross is a true hero. Pray for all who die in the line of duty.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Bryan Gross is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
