Volunteer Firefighter, Travis Lee Miller, age 31, died on July 19, 2011, in Indiana.
Travis was a member of the Waterloo-Grant Township Fire Department - Indiana.
Saint Florian, Patron Saint of Firefighters, pray for Travis |
Travis died in his sleep of an apparent heart attack after he had returned home from assisting at a structure fire in Butler, Indiana. A circuit breaker apparently blew out in the Butler home, starting the fire.
The heat and stress of the fire may have contributed to his death.
Fire Department officials stated that Travis was a dedicated volunteer firefighter who was always willing to help and who was not afraid to jump right in when the need arose.
He had served as a firefighter for over five years because (in his words)....too many people I love and care for have either died or been injured or lost everything in a fire or accident or something medical. And I love to help other people in every way I can possible.
Travis is survived by his wife, Amy.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Travis Lee Miller is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
