Both squad cars were responding to a possible robbery when the crash happened.
Ryan had been with the Alhambra Police Department since 2009. Neighbors described him as a their guardian angel, who took care of their neighborhood.

His father, Sonny Stringer stated that Ryan loved his work as an officer and that he was a people person.
Police Officials stated that Ryan was a very energetic, very friendly police officer who was well-liked by other members of the department and the community.
Pray for all who die in the line of duty.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Ryan Stringer is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
