Staff Sgt. Joshua A. Throckmorton, age 28, of Battle Creek Michigan, died on July 5, 2011, in Paktia Province, Afghanistan, of injuries suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device.
He was assigned to the 709th Military Police Battalion, 18th Military Police Brigade, 21st Theater Sustainment Command, Hohenfels, Germany.

He previously had spent 15 months in Iraq and was three months into a one-year deployment in Afghanistan.
Joshua joined the Army after graduating from Battle Creek Central High School. His family says he saw the world with the Army.
Joshua was married with 3 daughters.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Joshua A. Throckmorton is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
