Brent Long - Law Enforcement - Indiana

Police Officer Brent Long, age 30, was shot and killed on July 11, 2011, as he and other officers served a felony warrant at a house in Terre Haute, Indiana.

As the officers entered the house, the suspect opened fire striking Officer long and his canine, Shadow.

The suspect was shot and killed at the scene. Shadow is expected to recover.

Brent was a K-9 officer with the Terre Haute Police Department. He had served with the Department for six years.

Brent is survived by his wife, 11-year-old daughter, and 10-year-old son.

Pray for all who are killed in the line of duty. 

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Brent Long is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
