Levi E. Nuncio

Spc. Levi E. Nuncio, age 24, of Harrisonburg, Virginia, died on June 22, 2011, in Kunar province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with small arms fire.

He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.

Levi Nuncio joined the Army on Sept. 23, 2009, as a combat medic and was on his first deployment.

His awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal, two Purple Hearts, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the NATO medal, National Defense Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Medal, Combat Medical Badge and the Army Service Medal.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Levi E. Nuncio is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
