Christopher Roger Bell

Army Cpl. Christopher Roger Bell, age 21, was killed on June 4, 2011, by a roadside bomb that detonated while he was on a morning patrol in northeastern Afghanistan.

Christopher Roger Bell was a member of the U.S. Army's 3rd Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, a military police unit stationed at Joint Base Elmenorf-Richardson, in Anchorage, Alaska. He was from Alabama.

Christopher had been in Afghanistan since March. His wife, Samantha, and their 1-year-old daughter, Lana, lived at the unit's base in Anchorage.

Angels of God,
pray for Christopher
Friends described Christopher as a hero. “He would give up his life to protect others. That's what he was doing, and that's the kind of person my friend was and always has been. He was kind hearted and would go out of his way to help anyone. And he never met a stranger. He used to say there is no such thing as a stranger, just people he had never met."

Christopher is survived by numerous loving relatives including his parents (mother Barbara Bell) and his wife, Samantha. Chris and Samantha Bell have one child, Lana, who will be two in August.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Christopher Roger Bell is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
