Pfc. Robert B. Bayne, of Dundalk, Maryland, will be buried on May 7, 2011, in his hometown.

On March 28, 1945, while patrolling the Rhine River in an inflatable raft, Robert Bayne, a lieutenant and two other enlisted men were attacked near Schwegenheim, Germany. Robert Bayne and the officer were wounded, forcing all four men into the swift waters of the river.
Robert Bayne drowned and died there. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, pray for us, that this repetitive war death scenario does not go on forever.
Father, help us. Do not abandon us. Do not forget us. We beg you to end these wars.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Robert B. Bayne is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
