Amaru Aguilar

Sgt. Amaru Aguilar, age 26, of Miami, Florida, died on May 13, 2011, at Kandahar province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when his unit encountered small arms fire.

He was assigned to the 4th Squadron, 4th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kansas.

Mary, pray for
Amaru
Amaru joined the U.S. Army shortly after graduating from South Miami Senior High School in 2003.  He successfully served two prior tours of duty in Iraq.  The Afghanistan mission was his 3rd tour of duty in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

"He was a scout and died a hero saving the lives of his fellow soldiers," said family members.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Amaru Aguilar is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
