with God

Private Brandon T. Pickering, age 21, of Fort Thomas, Ky., died on April 10, 2011, in Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Landstuhl, Germany, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with small arms fire and a rocket propelled grenade in Wardak province, Afghanistan, April 8.

He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Polk, La.

Brandon Pickering was from Fort Thomas, Kentucky.  Brandon Pickering was a 2008 graduate of Highlands High School.

Brandon is described by officials as being an unassuming young men with a big heart. He would go out there and have that sense of duty and dedication, and that he would give back.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Brandon Pickering is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
