Alan Cameron

British Colour Sergeant Alan Cameron, age 42, of 1st Battalion Scots Guards was wounded while on foot patrol in an area north of Lashkar Gah, Afghanistan, on 13 April 2010.

Alan was recovering after several difficult operations but died suddenly at home in Livingston on March 31, 2011, from complications from his injuries.
Our Father, lead Alan to Heaven

Alan had one child.

His family paid paid tribute to him, saying they were devastated by the sudden loss of a dear family member, who has sadly lost his battle to overcome injuries sustained on operations.

He joined the Scots Guards in 1989 and was very passionate about army life.

Army officials described Alan Cameron as a real father figure in the battalion. With his greying hair and knowing smile he was someone everyone looked up to and admired......He was a gentleman in all the best meanings of that word.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Alan Cameron is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
