Jordan R. Stanton

Cpl. Jordan R. Stanton, age 20, of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., died March 4, 2011, while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. 

He was assigned to the 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Jordan joined the Marine Corps in 2008. He attended boot camp and was stationed out of Camp Pendleton.  He was promoted to corporal on July 1, 2010, and became an assistant team leader. 

His awards include the National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.

In his immediate family, Jordan Stanton is survived by his father, Robert, his mother, Joyce, and his brothers Ryan, Ethan and Cole.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Jordan Stanton is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
