Spc. Brian Tabada, age 21, was killed on February 27, 2011, in a battle with insurgents in Afghanistan, in the Darah-Ye district of Kunar province.
He was a fire support specialist assigned to the First Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, in Fort Campbell, Ky. Collectively, Tabada and his comrades are known as the Screaming Eagles.

He was from Las Vegas, Nevada. Brian Tabada joined the Army in August 2008 and has received a number of awards and commendations, including the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, North Atlantic Treaty Organization Medal, Army Service Ribbon and Combat Action Badge.
He is survived by his father, Muncko Kruize of Honolulu, Hawaii, and his mother, Leinette Mahan of Las Vegas.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Brian Tabada is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
