A suicide bomber in Afghanistan detonated a vest of explosives and killed three Fort Campbell soldiers on November 13, 2010.

Juan Rivadeneira
All three killed in the blast were infantrymen with the 2nd Brigade of the 101st Airborne Division.

Jacob Carver
Juan Rivadeneira was a 27-year-old non-commissioned officer whose parents are from Venezuela. He’s survived by a wife and son.

Specialist Jacob Carroll of Florida and Corporal Jacob Carver of Missouri were both 20 years old.

Jacob Carver was two years out of high school and liked mudding and motocross. On his Facebook page, he lists a favorite quote: “If you can’t stand behind our soldiers, feel free to stand in front of them.”

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Jacob Carroll, Jacob Carver and Juan Rivadeneira are in heaven. Let us pray that they are at peace and are with God. Amen
