Wayne A. Fausz

A Fort Bragg soldier who completed two tours in Iraq and another in Afghanistan has died from injuries sustained in an auto accident in the U.S.A. on August 7, 2010. 

Command Sgt. Major Wayne A. Fausz of Florence, Ky., died on August 10, 2010. 

Wayne Fausz, age 40, was the command sergeant major for the 1st Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade of the 82nd Airborne Division.

Wayne joined the Army in 1988 and his tours in the Middle East included a deployment to Saudi Arabia in 1989-1990. His most recent deployment was to southern Afghanistan, where he spent nearly a year ending in April.

Wayne Fausz is survived by his wife and two children.
