Gabriel Conde |
Spc. Conde was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 509th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, U.S. Army Alaska, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska.
Tragically, Gabriel died as a result of wounds sustained from enemy small arms fire.
The circumstances of his death are under investigation.
Gabriel was serving in support of Operation Freedom's Sentinel which is the U.S. military action against terrorism in Afghanistan.
He was known as Gabe to his family and friends.
Gabriel graduated from Berthoud High School in 2014. He attended the Colorado School of Mines for a year and then enlisted in August of 2015. He was deployed to Afghanistan in September of 2017.
Friends stated that Gabriel loved the outdoors, hiking, camping and hunting. He was
happy that he was in the military. He was kind in spirit and helpful to others.
Gabriel's military comrades are in mourning over the death of their young brother. He died in the service of America. He will be forever remembered.
Gabriel's loved ones are devastated by his sudden and tragic death. He did his best. He was loved. He will be forever mourned.
Oceans of tears have been shed for Gabriel.
Gabriel is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members who will forever miss him.
