Alastair Teguiin - A Good Samaritan killed in North Carolina

Alastair Teguiin, age 26, died on March 6, 2016, on a highway near Charlotte, North Carolina.

Alastair was known as Al to many of his family and friends.

Around 4:00 a.m., Alastair was going home from work when he came across a stranded motorist. A 17 year old girl had a flat tire. The area was unlit.

He got out of his car to ask the young woman what was wrong when he was struck by a passing van. 

Tragically, Alastair died at the scene of the accident.  

An investigation is underway, however, as of this date, it does not appear that the driver of the van was impaired. 

Alastair's family emigrated from the Philippines when he was a small child. He grew up in Pinehurst, North Carolina. 

Alastair's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. They are not

surprised that he came to the aid of a stranger. It was just like him to do that. He was loving and was loved in return. He did his best. He will be forever mourned.

Alastair is survived by many loving friends and family members who will forever miss him.

Alastair is a Good Samaritan. 

Pray for all who die while coming to the aid of others. They are the true heroes of the modern era.

Pray for all who die by misadventure. They are with us one moment and are gone before we can say goodbye.

Pray that Alastair is in Heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
