Michael Robillard - Law Enforcement - Ontario

Constable Michael Robillard, age 32, died on November 17, 2013, on a roadway northeast of Greely, Ontario.

Mike was a member of the Ottawa Police Department. He had nine years of service in Law Enforcement. He worked for the Cornwall Police Department starting in 2004 and then commenced working for the Ottawa Police Department in 2009.

He was headed to work on the night shift. At about 3:30 p.m., his vehicle collided with a minivan driven by a woman with her young daughter as a passenger. Mike died at the scene.

but stable condition with broken bones, cuts and a punctured lung.

The cause of the accident is unknown and is under investigation. Whatever the cause, the result is tragic for all involved.

Police officials describe Mike as a bright light with a promising future in law enforcement. He is also described as a loving husband and a proud father. He was a valued friend and colleague to many.

He is also described as an exceptional investigator who was proud to be a police officer and had passions not only for his family and policing, but for baseball, music and life in general.

Cornwall Police officials stated that Mike was a positive man, serious about his work, responsible, fit and dedicated. 

Mike is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members including his wife, Alyson; and his son, Ben (age 3).

Pray for all who die by misadventure. They are with us one moment and gone the next. 

Pray for the woman driver and her daughter who were also victims of this tragic accident. 

Pray that Mike is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
