Shawn Anderson |
Sergeant Anderson was a member of the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office. He had 18 years of service.
In the late evening hours, Shawn and another officer had gone to a beauty salon in a strip mall to investigate a rape accusation. The suspect in the case was being interviewed when a struggle ensued. The male subject shot Shawn.
Shawn was rushed to a local hospital where, tragically, he was pronounced deceased.
The suspect was shot during the incident and is in custody.
Shawn was a U.S. Army veteran with six years of service in the military. He is the father of two children.
During his career with the Sheriff's Office, Shawn served in numerous divisions of the
Michael, Patron Saint of the Police, pray for Shawn and for those who have lost him. |
The members of the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office are in mourning over the death of their brother. Shawn was hard-working and focused. If something had to be done, he did it. He had a sense of humor and he had a soft heart. He will be forever remembered.
Shawn's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. He did his best. He will be forever mourned.
Shawn is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members who will forever miss him.
