Brian Moore |
Officer Moore was a member of the New York City Police Department. He was part of the anti-crime unit of the 105th precinct in Queens. He had five years of service.
During the early evening of May 2, 2015, Brian Moore and his partner were in plain clothes patrolling in an unmarked police car. They noticed a man tugging at the waistband of his pants and pulled up beside him. They asked him what he was carrying in his waistband. He responded by opening fire and shooting Brian Moore.
Brian was transported to the hospital and underwent surgery for wounds to his head and brain. Tragically he succumbed to his injuries two days later.
Demetrius Blackwell, age 35, was arrested several hours later and has been charged

Brian's father and uncle are both retired police officers.
The New York City Police Department is in mourning over the death of their young brother. He will be forever remembered.
Brian's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. He did his best. He will be forever mourned.
Steven is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members who will forever miss him.
Thank you for your service to the community, Brian.
