Daniel Corrigan - Firefighter died in Santa Barbara, California

Daniel Corrigan, age 35, died on March 4, 2015, at the Airport Fire Station in Santa Barbara, California.

Firefighter Corrigan was a member of the Santa Barbara Fire Department. He had two years of service with the Department. Previously he had worked for the Fresno Fire Department. He had 8 years of service in firefighting.

In the afternoon of March 4, Daniel was found deceased in his car at the fire station. It is believed that he died from an unknown medical condition.

Daniel graduated from the California State Polytechnic University at Pomona with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. It was his lifelong dream to become a firefighter. His father, John, is a retired firefighter from the Alameda County Fire Department.

stated working for the Santa Barbara Fire Department in April of 2013.

The Santa Barbara Fire Department and the Fresno Fire Department are in mourning over the death of their brother. Fire Department officials stated that Daniel was a dedicated and intelligent firefighter who had a bright future ahead of him. He had a sense of humor and was a kind man. He will be forever remembered.

Daniel's loved ones are devastated over his sudden death. He will be forever mourned.

Daniel is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members including his parents Anne and John Corrigan; his sisters, Rosanne and Debora; his pregnant fiancée, Sarah, and his young son, Jack.

Pray for all who die suddenly. They are with us one moment and are gone before we can say goodbye.
