Eric Desjardins |
Eric was driving near Perth at about 9:30 p.m. when he came across a road accident. An older woman had driven off the road and into a ditch. Eric stopped to see if he could be of assistance. When he got out of his vehicle, he was struck by a pickup truck driven by a 51 year old man from the Perth area.
Eric was rushed to a local hospital where tragically he succumbed to his injuries.
It appears that alcohol was not a factor in the collision and no charges are pending.
The Good Samaritan comes to the aid of strangers, selflessly. |
Eric attended Garneau Catholic High School in Orléans, Ontario.
Eric worked as a wash bay supervisor at a trucking company in Perth. His supervisors and co-workers there describe him as a good man and a valued employee. He was helpful, happy and upbeat. He greatly loved his wife and kids. He will be forever missed.
Eric's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. He will be forever mourned.
Eric is survived by many loving friends and family members including his wife and children.
Pray for all who die while coming to the aid of others. They are the Good Samaritans and are the real heroes of the modern era.
Pray for all who die by misadventure. They are with us one moment and are gone before we can say goodbye.
Pray that Eric is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
