Ashlea was an assistant manager at an American Eagle Outfitter store in the Hulen Mall in Fort Worth.

She had worked late due to the store's Black Friday sale. After the store closed she had dropped in on a friend for a visit and then had gone home. It is alleged that soon after two of her former co-workers, Carter Carol Cervantez, age 25, and her boyfriend, Clarence David Mallory, age 19, showed up at her suite, beat and strangled her in order to get her keys to the store. They were interested in stealing tens of thousands of dollars taken in during the sale.
These two had been fired from the store at the Hulen Mall during the Summer when they were suspected of being involved in the theft of nearly $18,000. from the store's safe.
Hours later, Ashlea's body was found partially burned. Her hands and feet had been
bound with duct tape.
The day after Ashlea's murder, Carter Cervantez was caught by surveillance cameras trying to open the doors to the store, but the locks had already been changed.
Carter Cervantez and Clarence David Mallory have been charged with capital murder.

They are innocent until proven guilty. However...to whoever killed Ashlea for money we would ask this question: What does it profit a man who gains the whole world and loses his own soul?
Friends describe Ashlea as kind and compassionate. She will be forever remembered.
Ashlea's loved ones are devastated over her sudden and tragic death. She will be forever mourned.
Ashlea is survived by many loving friends and family members including her father, Tommy Ray Harris Sr.; her mother, Monica Cassity; and ten siblings.
Pray for justice for Ashlea.
