Bryon Dickson II |
Bryon was a member of the Pennsylvania State Police. He had 7 years of service. He had previously worked at the Fern Ridge and Philadelphia state police barracks before transferring to Blooming Grove.
Corporal Dickson and Trooper Alex Douglass were outside of the Barracks during a shift change at 11:00 p.m. One was entering the building and another was leaving when they were both shot by a person or persons unknown. It was an ambush that came out of nowhere.
Tragically Bryon died at the scene and Alex Douglass was rushed to a hospital where he underwent emergency surgery.

He graduated from the Pennsylvania State Police Academy in 2007 and was the patrol unit supervisor of the Blooming Grove Barracks.
Bryon was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran.
The Pennsylvania State Police are in in mourning over the death of their brother. He will be forever remembered.
Friends described Bryon as a man who was devoted to his family and to his job as a State Trooper.
Bryon's loved ones are devastated over his senseless and tragic death. He will be forever mourned.
Bryon is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members including his parents, Bryon and Darla Dickson; his sister, Stacey; his brother, Brandon; his wife, Tiffany; and his two young sons, Bryon and Adam.
