Cleve Johnson |
Cleve was a member of the Titus County Constable's Office - Precinct 2. He had 17 years of service with the department and a total of 34 years in law enforcement.
At about 10:00 a.m., Cleve was driving home when his patrol car left the roadway and struck a concrete culvert, fatally injuring him. He passed away at the scene of the accident.
Over the years, he had served with the Mount Pleasant Police Department, the Titus County Sheriff's Office and then the Titus County Constable's Office.
The Titus County Constable's Office is in mourning over the death of their brother. He will be forever remembered. Cleve is described as the epitome of a law enforcement officer. He was proud of his work. He had helped rookies who he took under his wing.
Friends stated that Cleve was well-known, well-liked and had a home spun country
charm. He treated everyone fairly and equally.

Cleve's family are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. He will be forever mourned.
Cleve is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members including his sister, Kathy; his wife, Patty; and his two daughters, Alicia and Kayland.
Thank you for your service to the public, Cleve.
Pray for all who die by misadventure. They are with us one moment and are gone before we can say goodbye.
Pray that Cleve is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
