Steven Knaus - Firefighter - Ohio

Firefighter Steven Joseph Knaus, age 47, died on February 28, 2014, at a hospital in Euclid, Ohio.

Steve was a member of the Cleveland Fire Department, Ladder Co. 31. He had 23 years of service.

He was also a part time member of the Willowick Fire Department where he had 20 years of service.

Steve was discovered in his vehicle in the driveway of his home. He was in cardiac arrest. He was transported to the hospital but was pronounced deceased.

Steve had just worked a shift for the Willowick Fire Department that included four emergency responses.

His family is devastated over his sudden death.

Steve is described as a dedicated firefighter and a gentleman. He was outgoing, easy-going and friendly. He always had a smile for others and a hug. He was well-liked and well respected.

Steve is survived by many loving comrades, friends and relatives including his parents Louis and Beth; his brother, Ron; his sister, Karen; and his wife Louann.

Thank you for your service to the public, Steve.

Pray that Steven is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
