Juan Gonzalez (L) and Brian Law (R) |
Brian and Juan were members of the California Highway Patrol. They worked out of the Fresno area office. Both men had 6 years of service.
Officer Law and Officer Gonzalez were responding to an accident call after 5:00 a.m. It had been mistakenly reported that the accident was in the northbound lane of the highway. When they arrived at the scene, they observed that the accident was in the southbound lane with one of the victims in their lane. The patrol car swerved to avoid striking the victim, hit a guardrail and rolled over.
Both officers suffered fatal wounds in the crash.
The California Highway Patrol is in mourning over the deaths of their brothers.
