Jah'Niyah White - a toddler killed by dogs in Chicago

Jah'Niyah White, age 2, died on December 7, 2013, in an apartment in South Chicago, Illinois.

Jah'Niyah was bitten to death by a dog or dogs while in the care of her grandfather. 

Family members describe the toddler as intelligent and bright who talked like a 5 year old.  She knew how old she was. 

Family members are devastated by this child's tragic death.  

The grandfather had possession of two pit bulls - a female dog named Brownie and its offspring named "General Chico".  

The details of this tragedy are not known as of this posting.  The grandfather led police to the body of his granddaughter saying that she was bouncing on a bed when she fell off and struck her head. 

But Jah'Niyah's death was ruled as a death due to a dog attack. She had several lacerations and puncture wounds to the back of her head and her neck, and her left ear lobe was bitten off. 

The child's mother is Kashairah Gardner, age 20.  The child's father is John White, age 21.  He is in Missouri.  The parents of this girl are not together.

Jah'Niyah lived with her mother in an apartment on the South Side of Chicago. Before that, the mother and daughter had been living with her father - Jah'Niyah's grandfather. Kashairah had left the child in the care of her father while she went to work.

Charges against the grandfather may be forthcoming. 

Pit bull dogs should be bred out of existence.  They are nasty ass, no account dogs, with a vicious streak. They can turn on you in a heartbeat.  If they don't like the way you smell, they can rip your throat out.  

We frequently write on this blog about deaths caused by dogs, especially deaths caused by pit bulls.  And then we get emails from pit bull owners saying "You are promoting your own agenda.".  Yes, we are, and what's your point?  

Death by dog is not acceptable in a civilized country. What is it about this concept that you all don't understand? 

God help us. Jesus, Mary, all saints and all angels pray for us. Save us from this

stupidity. Amen. 

Jah'Niyah is survived by many loving family members including her mother Kashairah Gardner; and her father, John White.

Pray for all who die by misadventure. They are with us one moment and gone the next. Amen.

Pray for the children who rely on adults to protect them from danger and who are not protected. Amen

Pray that Jah'Niyah is playing in the fields of heaven. Pray that she is at peace and is with God. Amen.
