Tevin Geike - U.S. Military

Spc. Tevin Geike, age 20, of Summerville, South Carolina, died on October 5, 2013, in a parking lot in the Lakewood suburb of Tacoma, Washington.

Tevin was an aviation operations specialist stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington.

There have been many conflicting news reports about this tragedy. Either this is due to really poor information provided by the local Police or is due to really incompetent reporting by reporters in the Tacoma area.

None of the following can be confirmed as of this posting - However, it appears that Tevin and two fellow soldiers were out celebrating on Saturday night. They were walking down the street when a car drove past them and the occupants (5 black men) yelled comments about the three men being "white".

One of the walking soldiers yelled back something about treating combat soldiers with disrespect. The car turned around, looking for a beef. There was a verbal confrontation. The five men returned to the car but on the way to the vehicle one of the five stabbed Tevin Geike.

Tevin died at the scene.

It has been reported that three soldiers, from Joint Base Lewis-McChord, have been arrested in connection with the stabbing.

Tevin graduated from high school in North Charleston, in 2010. He joined the Army in
Father, place Tevin on the stairway to

2010 and arrived at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in 2011 after training to be an aviation operations specialist.

Friends stated that Tevin was a good kid who was just starting out in life.

It is particularly tragic that Tevin was seemingly killed by fellow soldiers. Who needs foreign enemies when your own countrymen will kill you? God help us.

Tevin is survived by many loving friends and relatives.

Thank you for serving, Tevin.

Pray for all who die young. They barely had a chance to live.

God save us from those who are supposed to back us up, but who kill us. Amen.

God save us from the Lost Ones who stalk the Earth stealing away life. Amen.

Pray that Tevin is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
