Rebecca jumped to her death from a derelict building.
Prior to her death, she had messaged a boy she knew in North Carolina and stated that "I'm jumping, I can't take it anymore."
Rebecca's family believe that her death was caused by bullying both at school and particularly on the Internet.
It has also been reported that 12 or 15 girls who knew Rebecca were responsible for this constant and vicious harassment.
On various social media sites, Rebecca was told to "go kill yourself" and "Why are you still alive?". Other posts stated "You're ugly."
Rebecca had attended Crystal Lake Middle School. School officials were notified by Rebecca's family about the bullying. The school had handed over the complaints to police for investigation.
Her family had pulled Rebecca out of the school in February of 2013 for home-schooling, deleted her Facebook account and arranged for her to switch to another middle school for the new September school year.

The family is asking what happened to the report that was passed from the original school to the Police.
The local Sheriff's Department has stated that the school system and law enforcement are not to blame for Rebecca's suicide. Apparently, "middle school drama" led to this tragedy and the "systems" cannot manage the cattiness of teenage girls.
Actually, this cattiness is not just the bitchiness of nasty teenage girls, but is in fact a form of evil. Who tells someone to go kill themself? Were these bitches raised by wolves? Where are their parents? Do their parents care what their daughters are doing to others?
Rebecca is survived by many loving and concerned loved ones.
Pray for justice for Rebecca. Amen.
Pray for all who are tormented. Amen.
Pray that Rebecca is in heaven. Pray that she is at peace and is with God. Amen.
