Arabian Gayles - 11 year old shooting victim in New Orleans

Arabian Gayles, age 11, died on September 2, 2013, at her home in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Soon after midnight, gunmen shot into a home where at least four young kids were sleeping.  More than a dozen bullets were fired. 

Arabian was in bed and was struck in the head by a stray bullet.  Tragically, she died at the hospital five hours later. 

Another girl at the house, Paulreiona Cary, also 11, was wounded in her hand and elbow, and a 38-year-old man was shot in the back but survived. Paulreiona is a cousin of Arabian. 

The motive for the shooting is not known. Either this shooting was due to a mistaken address or the shooters were after a man in the house.  Everyone is keeping quiet about the possible motive. 

The nasty ass gangbangers, drug dealers and thieves kill children as they lie in their beds.  Who are these freaks?  God help us.

A vigil was held for Arabian during which her mother, who is pregnant, collapsed and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Arabian is survived by many loving friends and relatives, including her mother.

Pray for justice for Arabian.
