He and three other Polish soldiers were assisting Afghan forces in taking control of a large amount of explosives and weapons used for terrorist attacks, when they were injured by an improvised explosive device. The wounded were taken to the military hospital at the Polish base, but sadly doctors could not save Miroslaw.
Miroslaw was assigned to the Commando Military Unit based in Lubliniec.
He began his service in the Polish Army in 1997. He had served a tour of duty in Iraq. This was his second deployment to Afghanistan.
His military comrades are in mourning over his tragic death.
Light a candle for Miroslaw. Light his way to Heaven. |
He will be forever missed by his family and loved ones.
Miroslaw is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his wife and son.
Thank you for your service to Poland, Miroslaw.
Pray without ceasing unto God for an end to this war in Afghanistan. It is enough. We are sick with grief for men like Miroslaw.
Pray that Miroslaw is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
