Velacita Jones - murdered at work in Virginia

Velacita Jones

Velacita Jones, age 39, died at her job on July 8, 2013, in Hopewell, Virginia.

Velacita was at work at 7:00 a.m. at a Hardee's Restaurant, when her former partner, Joseph Green, age 62, showed up and starting arguing with her. The conflict moved outside where he pulled out a gun and shot Velacita in the parking lot of the restaurant.

Joseph Green has been charged with first degree murder.

Velacita graduated from Prince George High School in 1992. She was an Assistant Manager at Hardees.

Family members describe her as having a great smile and a great sense of humor. She was dedicated to her children. Her family will forever miss her.  

Joseph Green

Velacita is survived by many loving friends and relatives including her siblings, Adrian, Samantha, Torin, Erical, and Shanta; and her three children - Hakeem, Raheem and Alexis.

Pray for justice for Velacita.

God save us from those who say they love us, and then kill us. Amen. 

Pray that Velacita is in heaven. Pray that she is at peace and is with God. Amen.
