She was visiting Andrew Wai Poi, a 52 year old male, at a semi-rural property. It seems that she stepped out of the house and was attacked by the homeowner's 2 or 3 large Rottweiler dogs.
These dogs killed her. The dogs were destroyed.
Chloe formerly was a Pilates instructor. Her co-workers said that she will be missed.
Chloe was also a drug addict. Her family describe her as caring and compassionate, but also heavily addicted to drugs. Her family members said that they had worked to exhaustion trying to help her recover.
Family members stated that: "Her early years were such a joy and she developed into a tall, beautiful young woman who had such fine personal qualities; she loved people, was sensitive, caring and compassionate, and had a glorious sense of humour, a very capable mind and was gifted in sports and music. She had a magnetic personality, which drew people to her and she inspired other young people to make a difference in their lives. Tragically she looked after everyone but herself."
Her family are deeply mourning her passing.
Regardless of the addictions of Chloe - no one deserves to be bitten to death by dogs. Where are the New Zealand or Auckland or Redvale authorities? Why are people allowed to own numerous dangerous dogs there?
Rottweilers are dangerous. Why you ask? Because they killed a human being. End of story.

Chloe is survived by many loving friends and relatives including her father, Jim and her brother, Ben.
Pray for all who die by misadventure. They are with us one moment and gone the next. Amen.

The dogs were trained guard dogs protecting the home of a known drug dealer. The attack was caught on CCTV camera, cameras that were also there to protect the illicit business. Animals are only as good as their owners & if they're taught violence that's what they learn. Chloe was also likely high at the time as she was acting very strangely prior to the attack. It's likely her strange actions together with the smell upset the animals more than normal. Yes, it's a good thing they've been put down but it's the fault of the owner not the dogs. It's just a shame the law doesn't allow for us to put the owner down.
I agree,people kill people all the time why are we allowed to walk. We are all God's creatures big and small. I knew Chloe and she would not wish people to have their pets taken from them.
Death by dog is not acceptable in a civilized country.
I think the council needs to bring in laws so that people owning dangerous dog breeds have to have special training and a licence. After all we have licences for guns. It is quite simple. Also I'd like to see all dangerous breeds or cross breeds or potentially dangerous dogs muzzled in public. I"d like to walk in my local park without fear some irresponsible dog owner will be walking their attack dogs off leash.
