Andrew Pedersen-Keel

Capt. Andrew M. Pedersen-Keel, age 28, of South Miami, Florida, died on March 11, 2013, in Jalrez District, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained when he was attacked by small arms fire.

He was shot by an Afghan police officer. 

He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne), Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Andrew graduated from Avon Old Farms School in Avon, Connecticut in 2002 and from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 2006.

Andrew is described as an outstanding student, varsity athlete and a friend to everyone. He is also described as a man with courage and commitment.

Andrew is survived by many loving friends and relatives, including his parents, Henry Keel and Helen Pedersen. 

Pray for all who die in the line of duty.
