Her boyfriend reported her missing on February 7, and stated that he had not seen her since 10 p.m. on February 6.
A multi-agency search on land and air was conducted and Sarah's body was found in a wooded area east of Denison, Texas.

Gregory Shane Bailey, age 31, her boyfriend, who is the father of their two children, has been charged with her murder.
Many people, including the family of Sarah, were concerned when Sarah went missing that the boyfriend had something to do with it.
Friends and family say they had noticed signs of abuse - bruises, bumps on her arms, broken toes and a nervous, edgy disposition. She walked around like she was walking on egg shells.
Family members state that Child Protective Services and the Police were called to the couple's trailer home on numerous occasions.
Family members state that Sarah had a bright personality.

The family members of Gregory Shane Bailey take the reverse stance and say "We love and support Shane and have faith in his innocence. Shane and Sarah had a very good relationship. They were very happy. They have two beautiful children together. We have the utmost confidence in our law enforcement here and know they will soon find evidence that leads them to the person that really did this."
Sarah is survived by many loving friends and relatives including her two children.
God save us from those who said they loved us and then kill us. Amen.
Let us pray that Sarah Swaim is in heaven. Let us pray that she is at peace and is with God. Amen.

I am the older brother of Gregory "Shane" Bailey.And I can say that we DO NOT support what he has done.We loved Sarah,and this has devestated the entire family.What Shane did was absolutely disgusting,and hes getting NO sympathy from any of us.He will have his day in court and will get what he deserves.His Mom can make all the supporting statements she likes.Wont change the fact that her son,my brother,killed his childrens mother in cold blood.REST IN PEACE Sarah Swaim.We will never forget you.NEVER EVER!

SARAH WAS SUCH A WONDERFUL PERSON AND HELP MANY THROUGH ABUSE WHY AND HOW ARE THE QUESTIONS THAT RUN THROUGH MY MINE SHE WAS MY VERY CLOSE COUSIN AND I KNOW THAT SHE WAS A STRONG GIRL THE ONLY PERSON IN THE WORLD THAT IS SAYING THAT HE IS NOT GUILTY IS HIS CRAZY MOTHER AND THAT WOMEN WILL ALWAYS ACTED LIKE SHANE RULED THE WORLD BUT I KNOW THAT THE EVIDENCE AND THE PEOPLE WHO FOUND HER AND HE WONT WALK AWAY FROM THIS ONE AT ALL.... THE TRUTH WILL BE OUT NEXT MONTH IN COURT AND SARAH'S FAMILY WILL BE THERE TO LET HIM KNOW WHAT HE DID TO ALL OF US... HE KILLED OUR HEARTS...
Guilty. First degree murder. And we're all damn glad he got what was coming to him.I know him well. I can confirm that the only "family" who supported him was his screwed up mom. Our side of the family actually took the stand against him. His sister testified against him. His stepmom was waiting to testify against him.
