Josh Lynaugh - Law Enforcement - Minnesota

Police Officer Josh Lynaugh, age 30, died on February 16, 2013, at Regions Hospital, St. Paul, Minnesota. 

Josh was a member of the St. Paul Police Department. He had 5 years of service. 

Josh and his partner were on patrol during the evening of February 8 when they noticed a suspicious male in the 1100 block of Edgerton Street. When the officers turned their squad around, the teen fled on foot. Josh pursued and apprehended the suspect and the juvenile was issued a citation for fleeing police and violating curfew.

Shortly after that, Josh became ill. He was transported to Regions Hospital where he was treated for a heart attack. He died 8 days later. 

During his 5 years with the Department, Josh earned 16 commendations and letters of recognition, including two Life Saving Awards.

Josh is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his father, Tim Lynaugh, who is a retired St. Paul police sergeant.
