Dan and Liane Wood - Good Samaritans in Ontario

On February 6, 2013, Dan and Liane Wood, of Ontario, pulled a 13 year old girl to safety from her family's flipped car.

Dan is a pastor at the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church in Frankford, Ontario.

The car

The girl and her family were attending church.  The girl was alone in the car, waiting for her family to come out.  

The Nissan Juke SUV slipped into neutral and rolled down an embankment and into the Trent River.

The Good Samaritan comes to
the aid of others, selflessly. 

Dan and Liane ran down the embankment after the car.  They jumped into the rapids and tried to free the girl from the vehicle, upside down in the river and quickly filling with water.  

The doors were locked so the couple tried to smash the passenger window, but couldn't.  Then they found the back hatch was open. The girl was able to work her way out of the vehicle. 

This man and woman put themselves at risk for another. 

God knows we need more people like Dan and Liane Wood who come to the aid of others.  Amen.
