Her body was discovered on February 12, 2013, in a well within four miles of the Canon home she shared with her 12-year-old son, Gavin, and her boyfriend, Brent Shubert.
Bonny died of blunt force trauma to the head.

There was a history of domestic violence between Bonny and her boyfriend, Brent. Family members state that Brent is a violent man, period.
