She had been stabbed to death.
At about 4:35 a.m. on December 16, Nikki Hart and her longtime boyfriend and the father of her children, Jason Guynup, age 29, got into an argument.
Jason Guynup stabbed Nikki in the neck several times, then fled in his truck but crashed 20 minutes later. He then ran from the scene of the crash, but was arrested a short while later when he was spotted walking along a local highway. He was drunk.
Friends are shocked because Nikki and Jason had "always been together".
They had 2 children together - ages 1 and 2.

Nikki was the owner operator of Hart Real estate where she was the principal broker for over 7 years. She told people that she loved her job and enjoyed finding homes for others as well as making a living.
Nikki had previously studied at Hudson Valley Community College.
Friends describe Nikki as an amazing person, pleasant and trustworthy.

She is also described as kind and having a bright smile.
Nikki is survived by many loving friends and relatives, including her parents, William and Victoria; her sister, Ashley; her brothers John and William, and her children Olivia and Addison.
God save us from those who say they love us and who then kill us. Amen.
Pray for all who die young and violently. Amen.
Let us pray that Nikki Hart is in heaven. Let us pray that she is at peace and is with God. Amen.
