Kevin Lipari

Sgt. 1st Class Kevin E. Lipari, age 39, of Baldwin, New York, died on December 14, 2012, in Logar province, Afghanistan.

The cause of his death has not been released as of this posting.

He was assigned to HHC 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, Bamberg, Germany.

Kevin graduated from Oceanside High School in 1991, where he played baseball, football and hockey. He studied English and mass communications at SUNY Oswego. 

He joined the Army in 1999 and served as a paratrooper.  He later retrained as a satellite communications specialist.

Family members stated that he loved the military.  He had served several combat deployments to Afghanistan.

Kevin is described as outgoing, loveable and full of life.  

Kevin is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his mother, Kathy Lipari; 2 brothers; and his wife, Jessica.

Thank you for serving, Kevin.
