Larry Stell - Law Enforcement - Georgia

Officer Larry Stell, age 46, died in the line of duty on October 11, 2012, in Helena, Georgia. 

He was a member of the Georgia Department of Corrections. He had 11 years of service.   He was stationed at the Telfair Prison complex, which is a high-security prison for male inmates.

Larry was assaulted, stabbed and killed by an inmate. 

The inmate suspected in the killing has been transferred to another prison and will be held there until he's charged in the case.

Larry and his loved ones were active in their community.

Larry was a 1990 graduate of Truett McConnell College in Cleveland.

Larry is survived by many loving friends and relatives, including his wife Paula.

Pray for all who die in the line of duty.

Pray for all who die young and suddenly.  God help us.  Jesus and all saints and all angels pray for us. Amen.
