Genaro Bedoy

Pfc. Genaro Bedoy, age 20, of Amarillo, Texas, died on September 16, 2012, in Zabul Province, Afghanistan, of injuries suffered when his position was attacked with small arms fire.

He was assigned to 52nd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington.

Genaro graduated from River Road High School in 2010. 

High school officials describe Genaro as a good kid, respectful and hard-working. 

Family members stated that they are proud of Genaro. He is their hero. They loved him and will forever miss him. 

Friends describe him as a generous, giving man who was always happy.

Genaro is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his wife and their 7 week old child. 

Pray for the 20 year olds who die in combat. Yesterday, they were just boys.

Let us pray that Genaro Bedoy is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
