Akiya Egeston - Murdered on the job - Arkansas

Akiya Egeston, age 29, died on September 22, 2012, in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

She was a convenience store clerk.  At about 9:00 p.m., three men entered an EZ Mart on the 3100 block of MacArthur to rob the store.

The three were unable to open the safe and left the store. Then one man returned and shot Akiya Egeston, who was working at the store as a clerk.

One of these men may have been involved in another armed robbery of a gas station in Jacksonville, hours after the killing of Akiya.

If you can identify any of the suspects, you are asked to contact Detective Michael Gibbons with the North Little Rock Police Department. EZ Mart is offering a $10,000 award for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects.
Jesus, pray for Akiya and for
her children who have lost
their mother.

What sort of men are these? They are the thieves of the world, who steal away your money and then your life.

Matthew 16 states: "For what doth it profit a man, if he gains the whole world, and suffers the loss of his own soul?"

God save us from these men - the stealers of lives. Amen.

Akiya is survived by many loving friends and relatives including her mother, Maria Currie; and her two children.

Pray for all who die because they went to work.

Let us pray that Akiya Egeston is in heaven. Let us pray that she is at peace and is with God. Amen.
