Cody Moosman

Pfc. Cody O. Moosman, age 24, of Preston, Idaho, died on July 3, 2012, in Gayan Alwara Mandi, Afghanistan, when enemy forces attacked his unit with small arms fire. 

He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 28th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kansas. 

He joined the Army in 2010. This was his first tour of duty overseas.

Family members stated that Cody always wanted to be in the military, even as a child. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. They are proud of his service to his country. He will be forever missed. 

Friends describe Cody as a quiet young man, who was mechanically inclined and who was proud to be in the military.

Cody is survived by many loving friends and relatives, including his parents Dennis and Mareen, 2 sisters and 2 brothers, and his grandparents.

Let us pray that Cody Moosman is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
