Andrew Hoefler - Law Enforcement - Wisconsin

Police Officer Andrew Hoefler, age 22, died off duty on June 2, 2012, in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin.

Andrew was killed in a vehicular accident. A man crashed into him head-on while driving the wrong way on a local highway. 

Andrew was a member of the New Holstein Police Department in Wisconsin. He was known as Andy to his friends and family. 

Nicholas Pieri, age 32, of Sheboygan, was also killed in the crash.

Andrew graduated from Kiel High School in 2008, and went on to get a degree in criminal justice from Lakeshore Technical College. He joined the New Holstein Police Department in 2010. 

Police officials stated that they are numb over Andrew's death. They also stated that Andy was a laid back, happy-go-lucky type of man, who took his job seriously. 

Family members stated that Andrew was passionate about his career. He enjoyed his family and hunting and fishing.

Andrew is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his parents, Steve and Karen Hoefler and his brother, Eric; and his girlfriend, Maggie. 

Let us pray that Andrew Hoefler is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
