Thomas was a member of the Houston Fire Department, Station 69. He had 22 years of service.
Thomas was involved in a small cooking related apartment fire in Houston. He collapsed as he approached the door of the apartment unit. It is believed that he suffered a heart attack.

He was given CPR by his comrades and was transported to a local hospital where he died.
Thomas joined the department in June of 1989. He was promoted to Captain in 1998 and to Senior Captain in 2002.
Fire Department officials describe him as an exemplary and well-respected firefighter.
Thomas is survived by many loving friends and family members including his three children.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Thomas Dillion is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
