Daquane Rivers

Spc. Daquane D. Rivers, age 21, of Marianna, Florida, died on March 14, 2012, from injuries sustained in a non-combat related incident in Paktika province, Afghanistan. 

Daquane Rivers was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 28th Infantry Regiment, 172nd Infantry Brigade, Grafenwoehr, Germany.

As of this posting, the cause of his death has not been released.

Daquane graduated from Marianna High School in 2009.  High school officials stated that he will be remembered for his smile and his wit. 

Jesus, pray for Daquane

Military officials have stated that Daquane Rivers was well liked and respected by his peers and leaders alike, and that he was mature and competent.  He is also described as upbeat and sociable. 

In October of 2011, Daquane received the Combat Action Badge for his actions during an indirect fire attack against an observation post.

Daquane is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his wife. 

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Daquane Rivers is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
