Daniel Wade

British Private Daniel Wade, age 20, died on March 6, 2012, in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained when his armoured vehicle struck an improvised explosive device.

He was a member of the 3rd Battalion, The Yorkshire Regiment.

Daniel was from Warrington, Cheshire. 

Family members stated that they are devastated by Daniel's death, but that they are proud of him as a soldier and as a man. They stated that he was a typical, fun-loving lad, who was also loving and brave.

Military officials stated that Daniel had only recently joined the battalion, but in a very short period, he had made a real mark. 

Daniel is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his mother, Lisa Billing; his sister, Stacey; and his fiancée, Emma Hickman, who is due to give birth in June. Daniel was predeceased by his father. 

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Daniel Wade is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
