His body has not been found as of this date, despite extensive searches.
Andrew was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard and was on a training exercise with three other men when their helicopter crashed into Mobile Bay.
Andrew went to Thomasville High School. He was known as "Drew" to many of his friends and family.
Family members stated that Andrew is greatly loved by his extended family. They stated that Andrew loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and water-skiing.

Family members and friends describe Andrew as always ready for an adventure or pulling a prank on a cousin. He is also described as compassionate, quiet, thoughtful and well-mannered.
Many have stated that he loved being part of the Coast Guard.
Andrew is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his parents, Ken and Becky Knight.
Pray for all who die in the line of duty.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Andrew Knight is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
